THE ART OF... STYLE. INNOVATION. COOKING.

Fissler unites art and cooking at Ambiente 2013

"Cooking is an art, and by no means the least significant one."  Anyone who wants to make a name for himself as an artist must have his own style, the courage to take unusual paths, and superior ability in his field of endeavor. These are also the ingredients that distinguish an outstanding cook. Fissler, the manufacturer of premium cookware, will be presenting true KochKUNST – the Art of Cooking – at Ambiente 2013 in Frankfurt am Main from February 15th to 19th. The Fissler brand unites a secure sense of style, innovative power, and more than 165 years of expertise in cookware – a perfect triad for portraying the motto of this year’s fair: THE ART OF... STYLE. INNOVATION. COOKING.

In the style of an outstanding art exhibition, visitors will have a chance to get to know the new products at the stand. On two display areas, the bionic knives and the decors of the Fissler Asian art edition will be celebrating their premiere and attracting plenty of attention due to their unusual presentation. The center of the stand will be the show kitchen, in which the two product areas will mesh in harmony. Here the three themes of style, innovation and cooking will unite.

The Art of Style
Colorful butterflies and a motif from nature. Six unusual decors stemming from two renowned Chinese artists adorn the stainless steel models that are exhibited. The motifs in the design study, inspired by the elements earth, fire, water, air, metal and wood, make each pot into a small work of art. An “art gallery” invites visitors to the stand to discover the new decors: Original water colors and artist portraits round out the presentation of the models.

The Art of Innovation
Two new masterpieces bring together the greatest technical refinement and sophisticated design: The bionic chef’s knife and the bionic Santoku knife are the knife sensation of 2013. These knives remain sharp forever and guarantee lasting cutting without resharpening. An exclusive display case optimally showcases the two innovations – so that the knives can be viewed from all sides. There is also a film that impressively shows the unusual performances of the patented technology. A floating, four meter long bionic model provides another optical highlight at the stand.

The Art of Cooking
The central show kitchen invites fair visitors this year to be right there when unusual KochKUNST – the Art of Cooking – is being created. Audience members will receive helpful tips from the pros themselves. They will be looking over the shoulders of star chefs
as they prepare delicious dishes. Inspiration at the stove will be provided not only by the bionic knives, but also by the star of the Ambiente 2012: the luno®  cookware line for the creative kitchen. So visitors to the stand will really be able to experience the fact that: Cooking is art.

Cooking artist wins first prize: Fiat 500 Edition luno®
Participants in the recipe competition "Cooking with Colors" have also demonstrated their own style, joy in experimentation, and cooking expertise. From May to December 2012, Fissler invited cooking artists to send in their recipe ideas. The only requirement was the color of the ingredients. And now the main prize will be awarded for one of the many outstanding entries: a Fiat 500 Edition luno®. Fissler Managing Director Markus H. Kepka will be presenting the car to the lucky winner at 2:00 p.m. on February 15th.
